Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain (1) Pesantren as an agent of change by using micro text analysis (textual analysis) faicrlough critical discourse model in the novel Negeri 5 Menara by Ahmad Fuadi, (2) pesantren ideology by using meso text analysis (discourse practice analysis) Faicrlough critical discourse model in the novel Negeri 5 Menara by Ahmad Fuadi, (3) pesantren ideology by using macro text analysis (socioculture analysis) the work of Ahmad Fuadi. This study uses descriptive analytical method with the object of research is the ideology of Islamic boarding school in the novel Negeri 5 Menara by Ahmad Fuadi. The technique of data collection in this study is documentation. The technique used to analyze the data in this study is the flow model (flow model) Miles and Huberman. The source of data used comes from the text of the novel Negeri 5 Menara by Ahmad Fuadi as thick as 423 pages. The Data in this study is the overall tangible data of the text contained in the novel Negeri 5 Menara by Ahmad Fuadi. The conclusion of this study is (1) there are ideologies that are applied in pesantren. The use of Islamic words shows that Islamic behaviors are taught in Pesantren; (2) describe and introduce pesantren education patterns that were previously unknown to many people; (3) the real story of the author who tells various efforts and obstacles in realizing dreams and ideals.
