Abstract

ABSTRACT Novia Ernadi Sentiana Putri, (2025) Implementation of Interactive Education Podcast in Listening Learning in Grade 5 SDN Mlilir 02, Thesis, Master of Indonesian Language Education Program, Graduate School, PGRI University Madiun. Supervisor (1) Dr. Panji Kuncoro Hadi, SS, M.Pd.., Supervisor (2) Dr. Agung Nasrulloh Saputro, M. Pd. Keywords: interactive educational podcast, listening learning This study aims to (1) Describe and explain the implementation of interactive educational podcasts in listening learning in grade 5 students of SDN Mlilir 02 Dolopo District, Madiun Regency. (2) To describe and explain the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of interactive educational podcasts in listening learning in grade 5 students of SDN Mlilir 02, Dolopo District, Madiun Regency. The research approach used in this study was a qualitative approach. The type of research chosen was a case study. The case study was selected because the focus of this research is on one particular classroom, namely grade 5 of SDN Mlilir 02. The results of the study showed that (1) The implementation of interactive educational podcasts in listening learning in grade 5 SDN Mlilir 02 has shown positive results. With mature preparation, consistent implementation, and ongoing evaluation, podcasts can be an effective learning tool. This not only improves students’ understanding of the material but also develops their listening and technology skills. By constantly adapting and innovating, this method can serve as an example for other schools in improving the quality of Education. The implementation of podcasts also provides an opportunity for teachers to be creative and innovate in delivering the material. Teachers can develop content that matches students’ needs and interests, making the material delivered more relevant and contextual. This is in line with the principle of student-centered learning, where students’ needs and interests are the primary focus in the learning process. (2) There are several challenges that need to be overcome, such as internet bandwidth limitations that sometimes hinder the smooth access of podcasts. To address this, the school authorities are working with local internet service providers to improve the quality of the network in the school area.Training for teachers in utilizing technology is also a crucial supporting factor. In SDN Mlilir 02, teachers regularly attend training facilitated by the local education department, to ensure they are able to optimally utilize technology in the learning process. technological support and infrastructure in SDN Mlilir 02 became a significant supporting factor in the implementation of interactive educational podcasts.
