Abstract
ABSTRACT Dimas Aditya Nur Faqih. 2025. The Effect of Proteus 8.15 on the Learning Outcomes of 11th-Grade Electrical Engineering Students in the Single-Phase Electrical Lighting Installation Subject at SMKN 1 Geneng. Electrical Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: (I) Dr. Nurulita Imansari, S.Pd., M.Pd. (II) Umi Kholifah, M.Pd. The background of this research focuses on the use of Proteus 8.15 software in the learning process of Single-Phase Electrical Lighting Installation at SMKN 1 Geneng, considering the importance of a good understanding of electrical engineering. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effectiveness of using Proteus 8.15 as a learning medium and evaluate student responses to the software. The method used was an experimental approach with a posttest-only control group design. Data sources included 11th-grade Electrical Engineering students, with data collection techniques using posttests and questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using a t-test to determine differences in learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups. The results showed that the use of Proteus 8.15 significantly improved student learning outcomes, with the experimental group's average post-test score reaching 83.5, compared to only 71.5 for the control group. The hypothesis test yielded a significance value of 0.000, indicating a positive effect of software use. Furthermore, students responded positively to the effectiveness of the learning process, with average ratings ranging from 76% to 90%. However, improvements were noted in the tutorial aspect of the software. This study concluded that the use of Proteus 8.15 was effective in improving student learning outcomes and recommended the development of improved features.
