Abstract

Informatics Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisor (I) Puguh Jayadi, S.Kom., M.Kom. Advisor (II) Yoga Prisma Yuda, S.Kom., M.Kom. Environmental damage is a global challenge due to low public awareness in protecting nature. To answer this challenge, this research develops a 2D endless wave survival game with the theme of environmental awareness. This game presents enemies in the form of symbolic monsters (slime as waste, fire as fire, and wind as natural disasters), which players must fight with level-up mechanisms and weapon upgrades. In managing enemy behavior, the Behavior Tree method is applied so that the enemy is able to patrol and chase players dynamically based on the detection radius. The development method used is Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC), with stages from initiation to release. Testing is done using the Black Box method and System Usability Scale (SUS). The results show that the game functions well and gets an average SUS score of 73.13, which is included in the Acceptable category. This game can to be a fun educational media and encourage player awareness of the importance of protecting the environment.
