Abstract
The Amurwa Bawana Tradition of Bediwetan Village is a form of development of the village cleaning which is carried out with a slametan or kenduri. The enthusias of the community in participating in this tradition has increased every year, but the majority of the community does not yet understand how history of Bediwetan Village is related to the Amurwa Bawana Tradition. The Amurwa Bawana Tradition which is passed down between generations has not been optimally utilized in the field of education, so this study aims to explore the history of the Amurwa Bawana Tradition and analyze its potensial as a source of historical learning that is relevant to the Merdeka Curriculum Phase E Class X SMA/MA. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, where data collection techniques are carried out with structured interviews and passive observations supported by secondary data in the form scientific articles, books, and the independent Curriculum Learning Achievement format. The data validity technique uses source triangulation, while data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study show that the history of the Amurwa Bawana Tradition is inseparable from the implementation of slametan or kenduri and is a follow-up to the excavation of the history of Bediwetan Village to become a sacred village cleaning tradition to commemorate ancestors and a form of gratitude. The potential of the Amurwa Bawana Tradition as a source of learning history for high school is relevant to the Independent Curriculum Phase E (Class X) as evidenced by the existence of the Amurwa Bawana Tradition as a local tradition that can encourage the use of the environment as a source of authentic history learning in understanding history in the local scope.
