Abstract

The low learning achievement of students in history subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Gondang is partly due to the suboptimal use of learning media such as s.id (microblog) and PowerPoint. As a solution, this study aims to implement a cultural heritage-based flipbook learning media of Nganjuk Regency to improve students’ learning outcomes. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the one-group pretest-posttest type. The research sample consists of 36 students from Class X-8 at SMA Negeri 1 Gondang. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation, interviews, and learning outcome tests. The research instruments were tested for validity and reliability before use. Data were analyzed using normality tests and the Wilcoxon test, as the data were not normally distributed. The analysis results show a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes after the implementation of the flipbook media, with a p-value = 0.000 (< 0.05). The findings indicate that the application of cultural heritage-based flipbook media can enhance students’ learning outcomes. The flipbook media was designed to present historical information related to the Majapahit Kingdom and its relics in Nganjuk Regency in a digital format accessible via students’ mobile devices.
