Abstract

Ethnopharmacology is an aspect of ethnobotany that focuses on the utilization of plants for medicinal purposes by certain ethnic groups or traditional communities. This research was conducted in the Tengger Tribe, Wonokitri Village, Tosari District, Pasuruan Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the ethnopharmacological utilization and document the types of anti-inflammatory and analgesic medicinal plants used by the Wonokitri Village community. This type of research is descriptive ethnography and uses a sampling technique, namely snowball sampling, research conducted by semi-structured interviews and then analyzed with measurement parameters Species Use Value (SUV), Family Use Value (FUV), Fidelity Level (FL) and Informant Consensus Factor (ICF). The results of this study obtained 55 species of medicinal plants from 33 families. The most widely used plant part is the leaves (42%). The most widely applied processing method is boiled (74%). The most widely applied method of use was drinking (65%). The most commonly used plant species was A. calamus with an SUV value of 0.77. The most widely used family was the Acoraaceae family (0.77). The plant that has a 100% FL value is Impes mushroom (Calvatia bovista) to treat swelling (100%). The disease category that has the highest ICF value is eye pain of 1.
