Abstract
In the production process, the company strives to produce products with good quality and satisfy consumer tastes. PT Sari Warna Unit I Karanganyar is a company in the textile industry of dyeing, printing, and finishing units. This company is able to produce quality final products on a large scale that will be marketed locally to abroad. However, in the production process, production obstacles are still found in the form of data defects every month, especially in May 2024-April 2025, Teteron Rayon fabric construction TR45/TR45 1126849 dyeing products, this can harm the company due to a decrease in sales, and delays in delivery due to re-processing for repairs. So in this research, the author uses the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) method, which is part of the Six Sigma approach, and is supported by tools such as check sheets, histograms, Pareto diagrams, fishbone diagrams, and control maps (P-Chart). Research results show that the most dominant type of disability is striped, with a percentage of 19% over a 12-month period. The DPMO value obtained is 12.297.0 and the sigma level is at level 2, which is still included in the industry average category. Based on the P-Chart chart, only February is within the control limit, while the other months are outside the control limit. Through the analysis of fishbone diagram, it was found that the main cause of striped defects came from human factors, machines, methods, materials, and the environment. The repair proposal given includes operator training, temperature adjustment and dyeing time, as well as initial inspection of grey fabric. In the control stage, the author suggests the application of the Poka Yoke method as a form of error prevention, although it cannot be implemented directly in this study.
