Abstract

SMP Progresif Al Mardliyyah currently still uses a manual system in managing academic data, such as recording grades, attendance, and assessments, which leads to delays in information delivery and potential data errors. This study aims to analyze user needs and design a web-based academic information system that aligns with user requirements to improve the efficiency and quality of academic services. The method used is the prototype model, which consists of the stages: communication, quick plan, modeling quick design, and deployment delivery & feedback. The design process includes requirements identification, wireframe creation, UML modeling, and user interface design using Figma. Evaluation was conducted through usability testing involving five respondents using a Likert scale. The testing results showed an average score of 81.14%, which falls into the “Very Easy” category. These results indicate that the designed academic information system prototype meets user needs and has a good level of usability to support academic activities at SMP Progresif Al Mardliyyah.
