Farhan Ahmat Fanani . 2025. The Personality of the Main Character in Fahd Jibran's Novel "Tak Sempurna": Psychoanalytic Study of Sigmund Freud on the Id, Ego, and Superego. Thesis. Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: (I) Dr. Panji Kuncoro Hadi, S.S., M.Pd. (II) Devi Cintia Kasimbara, S.Pd., M.A. This study aims to describe the personality dynamics of the main character in Fahd Jibran's novel "Tak Sempurna." The data source is Fahd Jibran's 245-page novel, published by Kurniaesa Publishing, Jl. Bangka X No. 1B Pela Mampang, South Jakarta, first edition, February 2013. The data for this study are the personalities of the main characters in Fahd Jibran's novel "Tak Sempurna." This research method uses the Human Instrument method by collecting, describing, and analyzing data. The instrument used in this study was a documentation guide. Data analysis techniques included repeated reading of the novel, experiencing, understanding, collecting data, underlining, describing, and concluding the research findings. The results of this study revealed the main character's personality, consisting of the id, ego, and superego. Through a psychoanalytic approach, Rama Aditya Putra's personality develops from an individual driven by desire and anger (id) to one capable of balancing these drives with considerations of reality (ego) and moral values (superego).
