Abstract

The lack of local history learning resources in Madiun that are packaged digitally and attractively has not been optimal in fostering students' understanding and love of their regional history. The purpose of this study is to develop a digital-based Madiun history encyclopedia product and test its validity and practicality as a high school history learning resource. This research is a type of R&D (Research and Development) research with the ADDIE model consisting of five stages, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate. The primary sources of this study are local history sites in Madiun and students at MAN 4 Madiun, while secondary sources are obtained from various supporting reading materials, such as history books about Madiun, archives, scientific journals, and relevant articles. The collected data are analyzed descriptively to measure the feasibility and practicality of the product. The results show that the developed product meets the criteria for validity and practicality. Validation by material and media experts showed an average feasibility score of 91% (very good), while practicality tests by students showed 87% (very practical) and teachers showed 88% (very practical). Therefore, this digital encyclopedia is suitable for use as a history learning resource at the high school/Islamic high school level because it presents local history material with engaging, interactive visualizations and is easily accessible through digital devices.
