Abstract

The interaction between parents and the school plays an important role in supporting the smooth process of education. However, at SD Negeri 1 Botok Magetan, the submission of complaints by parents is still done manually, making the documentation process and follow-up less effective. This research aims to design and develop a web-based complaint information system that can facilitate the systematic, swift, and well-documented submission of complaints. The system development uses the Waterfall method which includes the stages of analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system is built using PHP programming language and MySQL database, while the testing methods used are Black Box and System Usability Scale (SUS). Based on the testing results, the system has functioned as expected and received an average SUS score of 82, which falls into the category of "very good." This system is expected to improve communication between schools and parents as well as accelerate the handling of complaints at SDN 1 Botok Magetan.
