Cahyoko. 2025. Design and Construction of Decision Support System (DSS) for Social Assistance Recipient Selection in Simbatan Village, Magetan Regency Using Weighted Product (WP) Method. Supervisor (II) Muh.Nur Luthfi Azis, S.Kom., M.Kom The distribution of social assistance in Simbatan Village, Magetan Regency, often faces obstacles in determining the right recipients due to the selection process which is still manual, not standardized, and prone to subjectivity. To overcome this, this study aims to design and build a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) using the Weighted Product (WP) method, which is able to assist village heads in making decisions objectively and accurately. The WP method was chosen because it is able to process multi-criteria data efficiently through weighted multiplication techniques to produce a ranking of the eligibility of social assistance recipients. This system was developed using a waterfall approach, starting from needs analysis, system design using UML, implementation with PHP and MySQL, to testing using the black box method. The implementation results show that the system has succeeded in automating the selection process for social assistance recipients well, producing transparent and verified ranking reports according to the input data. Black box testing proves that all features function as expected, without any functional errors. This system is able to increase efficiency, accuracy, and accountability in the distribution of social assistance to people who really need it. Thus, this WP-based DSS provides an effective solution in supporting decision making in the village government sector.
