Abstract

Changes in the workforce due to the Industrial Revolution 4.0 require higher education graduates to have high readiness and adaptability skills. One of the successes of higher education is horizontal alignment. This study aims to determine the influence of self-regulated learning and academic hardiness on the horizontal alignment of alumni from the Guidance and Counseling Department at PGRI Madiun University. The research uses quantitative research with an ex post facto method and correlational design. The sample in this study consisted of 39 alumni using simple random sampling techniques. Data collection involved questionnaires with self-regulated learning scales, academic hardiness scales, and horizontal alignment scales. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that 1) There is an influence of self-regulated learning on the horizontal alignment of alumni with a sig value of 0.004 < 0.05; 2) There is an influence of academic hardiness on the horizontal alignment of alumni with a significance value of 0.047 < 0.05; 3) There is an influence of self-regulated learning and academic hardiness on horizontal alignment with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. It can be concluded that self-regulated learning and academic hardiness affect the horizontal alignment of alumni.
