Abstract
Alvina Dwi Rahmawati. 2025. Ilocutionary Acts of Podkaesang Depan Pintu (PDP) and its Application in Anecdote Text Learning at SMAN 1 Barat. Thesis. Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, FKIP, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisor (I) Prof. Dr. Bambang Eko Hari Cahyono, M.Pd., Supervisor (II) Dr. Muhammad Binur Huda, S.Pd., M.Pd. Illocutionary speech acts are part of pragmatics studies that focus on the intent or function that speakers want to achieve through their speech. In the context of Indonesian language learning, especially in anecdote text material which is full of elements of satire, humor, and social criticism, understanding of illocutionary speech acts is very important. This is because the ability to interpret implied meaning is the key to appreciating and creating anecdotal text creatively and communicatively. This study aims to describe the types of illocutionary speech acts in Kaesang Pangarep's Front Door podcast (PDP) and its application in learning anecdotal texts at SMAN 1 Barat. The research used descriptive qualitative method with observation, interview, documentation, and triangulation techniques. The results showed that all types of illocutionary speech acts based on Searle's classification, namely assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative, were found in the Depan Pintu podcast. Among the five types, assertive and expressive speech acts are most dominant, showing the tendency of speakers to convey opinions, feelings, and criticism indirectly but effectively through a relaxed and humorous language style. The implementation of the illocutionary speech act analysis of this podcast in learning activities proved to be able to improve students' understanding of the structure and function of anecdote texts, as well as encourage students' writing skills to be more creative, contextual, and relevant to everyday life.
