Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji partisipasi pemilih lanjut usia (lansia) dalam Pemilihan Umum Kepala Daerah (Pemilukada) tahun 2024 di Desa Dukuharum, Kecamatan Megaluh, Kabupaten Jombang. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya keterlibatan semua lapisan masyarakat dalam proses demokrasi, termasuk kelompok lansia yang sering kali menghadapi hambatan fisik, akses informasi, dan keterbatasan sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan total 13 informan, terdiri dari lansia, kepala desa, perangkat desa, anggota BPD, dan ketua KPPS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi pemilih lansia di Desa Dukuharum mencapai 72,5%, dipengaruhi oleh kesadaran politik, motivasi pribadi, dan dukungan sosial dari keluarga serta lingkungan sekitar. Hambatan fisik seperti keterbatasan mobilitas dapat diatasi dengan bantuan pihak keluarga dan KPPS. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa demokrasi di tingkat desa dapat berjalan inklusif apabila didukung dengan pelayanan yang ramah lansia serta pendekatan komunikasi yang bersifat personal dan berbasis komunitas. Kata kunci: Demokrasi, Pemilukada, Partisipasi Pemilih Lansia This research aims to examine the participation of elderly voters (elderly) in the 2024 Regional Head General Election (Pemilukada) in Dukuharum Village, Megaluh District, Jombang Regency. The background to this research is based on the importance of involving all levels of society in the democratic process, including the elderly group who often face physical obstacles, access to information and social limitations. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation and documentation with a total of 13 informants, consisting of elderly people, village heads, village officials, BPD members and KPPS chairs. The research results show that participation of elderly voters in Dukuharum Village reached 72.5%, influenced by political awareness, personal motivation, and social support from family and the surrounding environment. Physical obstacles such as limited mobility can be overcome with the help of the family and KPPS. This research concludes that democracy at the village level can be inclusive if supported by elderly-friendly services and a personal and community-based communication approach.
