Abstract
Song lyrics are a form of literary work that serve as a medium for expressing human feelings and thoughts. Their ability to reflect inner experiences requires in-depth analysis to understand the psychological messages they contain. The expression of emotion and inner conflict is not only found in real life but is also richly depicted in the lyrical dialogue of a music album. Therefore, these psychological struggles can be analyzed using a literary psychology approach. This study aims to describe the forms of emotional expression and inner conflict in the lyrics of Bernadya's album, "Sialnya Hidup Harus Tetap Berjalan," and to analyze their relevance to Indonesian language learning in high school. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques include listening to and transcribing the song lyrics, as well as conducting structured interviews with Indonesian language teachers. The primary data source for this study is the lyrics from Bernadya's album, "Sialnya Hidup Harus Tetap Berjalan." This album, which is highly popular among Generation Z, addresses relevant themes such as disappointment, anxiety, and resilience in facing life's pressures. Although the lyrics are filled with sadness, they contain a psychological narrative arc, depicting a journey from despair to recovery, influenced by the dynamic emotions and inner conflicts of the persona. The results of this study found 50 data points of emotional expression and 48 data points of inner conflict. Specifically, emotional expression was dominated by feelings of sadness (13 data points), but overall, it formed a picture of post-traumatic growth. The analysis of inner conflict showed a dominance of Ego struggles (38 data points) that transformed from a defensive state to one of ego strength. The interview results indicated that this analysis is highly relevant and suitable for integration into Indonesian language learning in high school, particularly in poetry musicalization, to develop students' emotional intelligence and critical thinking.
