Abstract

Biology education faces various problems that hinder the effectiveness of learning, including students' difficulties in relating theoretical information to real visualizations, such as fish morphology. The development of e-flashcard learning media is an innovative solution that can improve the quality of learning. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). The results showed that the developed e-flashcards improved students' understanding of fish morphology, with an average pretest score of 56.8 increasing to 82.2 on the post-test. Expert validation of the subject matter and media showed feasibility rates of 88% and 91%, respectively. Student responses to the e-flashcard media, as measured by questionnaire scores, reached 82%. Thus, the e-flashcard based on fish morphology observation has proven effective in improving student learning outcomes and can serve as an alternative, engaging learning medium for studying local fish species in the Kajang Village River.
