Abstract

Ranubaya. 2025. Decision Support System for Determining Leading Tourism Destinations in Madiun Regency Using SAW and WP Methods. Thesis. Informatics Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, PGRI Madiun University. Advisor (I) Sri Anardani, S.Kom., M.T. Co-Advisor (II) Puguh Jayadi, S.Kom., M.Kom. This research aims to develop a web-based decision support system (DSS) to determine leading tourist destinations in Madiun Regency using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) and Weighted Product (WP) methods. This system is designed to assist the Madiun Regency Tourism, Youth and Sports Office in making objective and transparent decisions related to the promotion and development of tourist destinations. The Extreme Programming (XP) approach is used in system development with the stages of designing UML diagrams, flowcharts, and user interfaces. The system was developed using PHP with the Laravel framework and MySQL database, and tested using the Black Box Testing method to ensure functionality and accuracy. A total of 25 test scenarios showed 100% success without any problems. Seven assessment criteria were used, namely village profile, village gellery, tourism products, attractions, homestay, monev, and social media. The results showed that the alternative A2 obtained the highest rank with a preference value of 0.9800 (SAW) and 0.1179 (WP), followed by A4 and A1, making it the leading tourist destination. The system proved to be accurate, efficient, and supportive of more targeted tourism planning, with potential development of features such as real-time data integration and interactive visualization in the future.
