Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of library management and how it influences the improvement of reading literacy among fifth-grade students at SDN Pilangbango. The main issue underlying this research is the low reading interest of students. The study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative method. The subjects in this research are 20 fifth-grade students and the school library manager. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The research instruments were systematically developed to gather information regarding the implementation of library management, the collection of reading materials, and students' reading literacy. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of library management has been running optimally in terms of planning, implementation, organization, and supervision. However, there are still challenges related to reading literacy that need to be addressed. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that more innovative and collaborative strategies are needed to optimize the library's function as a literacy center and to sustainably increase students' reading interest.
