Abstract
This study aims to describe the role of teachers in shaping students' character through morning habituation activities at SDN Dimong 03. The characters that are the focus of this study are religious, polite, and disciplined characters. This study is motivated by the importance of character formation in students from an early age, where teachers have a strategic role as guides, directors, and role models for students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study consisted of the principal, a 5th grade teacher, an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teacher, and three 5th grade students of SDN Dimong 03. The results of the study indicate that morning habituation activities that are carried out routinely and structured, such as reciting Asmaul Husna, singing Javanese songs, as well as marching and class duty activities, play an important role in instilling the values of religious character, politeness, and discipline. Teachers not only supervise, but also actively provide real examples, direct student behavior, and provide positive habits that are carried out every day. The conclusion of this study is that the role of teachers in morning habituation activities is very important and influential in shaping students' character, especially in creating a religious, polite and disciplined school environment.
