Abstract
This study aims to: (1) identify the conditions and needs of Indonesian language learning media, especially on affix material for fifth grade elementary school students; and (2) develop learning media in the form of Flashcards based on Flipbook applications. This media is designed to support students' understanding of the concept of affixes through an attractive, easily accessible visual and interactive approach, and in accordance with the development of digital technology that is familiar to today's students. The study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, expert validation (material, media, and language), and limited trials with teachers and fifth grade students of SDN Kare 06. The results of the study indicate that previous learning media have not been able to facilitate optimal student understanding, indicated by low participation and difficulty in identifying types of affixes. The development of Flipbook-based Flashcard media has proven effective based on the results of validation by material experts with a score of 83% (feasible category) and media experts with a score of 100% (very feasible category). The teacher and student trials yielded very positive feedback, particularly regarding readability, material clarity, visual appeal, and ease of use. This media was deemed capable of increasing learning interest, strengthening understanding of the concept of affixes, and encouraging independent and active learning in the classroom. This research provides an important contribution to the innovation of digital learning media based on visual literacy that is suited to the characteristics of elementary school students. The results can be used as a reference in the development of similar media for other subjects to improve the quality of the learning process in elementary schools.
