Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SDN Sumberejo 02 dengan memanfaatkan model Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dan media kubus satuan pada materi volume kubus dan balok. Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), yang dibagi menjadi dua siklus dengan fase perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi, adalah metodologi penelitian yang digunakan. Sebanyak 15 siswa menjadi partisipan penelitian dan data dikumpulkan melalui asesmen hasil belajar, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari rata-rata 62,67 pada prasiklus menjadi 73,33 pada siklus I dan selanjutnya menjadi 85,33 pada siklus II. Selain itu, persentase ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 33% menjadi 87%. Pendekatan RME yang dipadukan dengan media nyata terbukti dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan pemahaman konsep volume geometri. Karena model ini menghubungkan ide matematika dengan situasi aktual dan pengalaman langsung siswa, model ini berfungsi dengan baik. Kata kunci: Realistic Mathematics Education, Media Kubus Satuan, Hasil Belajar, Volume Bangun Ruang, Pembelajaran Kontekstual, Sekolah Dasar, Penelitian Tindakan Kelas This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN Sumberejo 02 by utilizing the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model and unit cube media on the material of cube and cuboid volume. Classroom action research (CAR), which is divided into two cycles with planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases, is the research methodology used. A total of 15 students became research participants and data were collected through learning outcome assessment, documentation, and observation. Student learning outcomes increased from an average of 62.67 in the pre-cycle to 73.33 in cycle I and then to 85.33 in cycle II. In addition, the percentage of learning completion increased from 33% to 87%. The RME approach combined with real media has been proven to increase students' active involvement in the learning process and understanding of the concept of geometric volume. Because this model connects mathematical ideas with actual situations and students' direct experiences, this model works well.
