Abstract
This study aims to develop a story-reading e-module based on Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) for the Indonesian language subject for fifth-grade elementary school students. The background of this research is based on students’ low reading interest and the suboptimal use of relevant and contextual learning media. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were fifth grade students at SDN Banaran, Madiun Regency. Validation results from subject matter experts showed a feasibility score of 84%, and from media experts, 98.6%, both of which fall into the “highly feasible” category. Teacher and student responses to the e-module also indicated a high level of practicality and engagement. The e-module was developed using Canva and Wordwall applications, integrating local cultural values, and presenting the material in an interactive and engaging manner. This study concludes that the CRT-based e-module is valid and feasible for use in story-reading instruction. The product also contributes to digital literacy and inclusive learning at the elementary school level.
