Riko Subantoro. 2025. Implementation of the Talking Stick Learning Model in IPAS Subjects in Grade III of SDN Sidorejo 2. Thesis. Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, FKIP. PGRI University Madiun. Advisors: (I) Dr. Endang Sri Maruti, M.Pd., (II) Vivi Rulviana, S.Pd., M.Pd. Choosing the right model can support the achievement of a teaching goal. In learning science, we need a model that can help students in developing activities and creativity of thinking. One effective method for teaching social studies in elementary school that can develop creative activities and thinking one of them is the Talking Stick learning model. Because this learning model can create students ' activeness in acquiring intellectual skills, attitudes, and motor skills. In addition, it can cause a positive response, can connect better relationships among friends, but it can instill an attitude of confidence and responsibility.. The purpose of this study was to determine what are the effects of the use of the talking stick method and to determine the advantages and disadvantages / constraints in the use of the talking stick method in Grade III students of Sdn Sidorejo 2. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive qualitative type. This study will describe the conditions that exist in the field. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis used in the study include: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Based on the results of this study, it appears that the problems that arise are lack of interest in students and easily bored with the learning process so that teachers who explain will be ignored by students. From the problems that exist in the school, researchers are trying to find various solutions to overcome these problems. Among them by using appropriate learning methods, motivating students,and providing better infrastructure. Keywords: Talking Stick, IPAS, Class III
