Abstract

Danis Saprila Argiani, 2025, Efforts to Increase Students' Interest in Learning Mathematics Subjects on Plane Shapes Using Contextual Models Assisted by Wordwall Media in Class III at SDN 02 Tawangrejo. Thesis. Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, FKIP, Universitas PGRI Madiun, Supervisors (1) Octarina Hidayatus Sholikhah, M,Pd (II) Dr. Fida Rahmantika Hadi, M.Pd. This research is motivated by the low interest in learning students in Mathematics, especially the material of plane figures, which is characterized by a lack of attention, involvement, and enthusiasm in participating in learning. The low variety in learning models and media causes students to feel bored and unmotivated. This study aims to increase student interest in learning through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model assisted by Wordwall media. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles. The subjects of the study were 11 students of grade III of SDN 02 Tawangrejo. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and questionnaires on student interest in learning. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results of the study showed that the application of the contextual model assisted by Wordwall media was able to increase student interest in learning. In the pre-cycle stage, only 27% of students had a high interest in learning. After the action in cycle I, it increased to 55%, and in cycle II it increased significantly to reach 100% of students with a high interest in learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the contextual model assisted by Wordwall media is effective in increasing students' interest in learning flat shapes in class III SDN 02 Tawangrejo.
