Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of Green finance and Good corporate governance with profitability as a mediating variable on banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021–2024 period. Green finance is measured using the Green finance Index (GFI), good corporate governance is proxied by the size of the independent board of commissioners, profitability is proxied by the Net Interest Margin (NIM), and firm value is measured using Tobin’s Q. The study employs a quantitative approach utilizing secondary data obtained from annual reports and sustainability reports. Purposive sampling was used based on specific criteria, resulting in a sample of 46 banking companies and a total of 184 observations. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression and the Sobel test to examine the mediating effect, utilizing SPSS version 26 software. The research results indicate that green finance has a negative and insignificant effect on firm value, whereas good corporate governance has a negative and significant effect on firm value. Profitability has a positive and significant effect on firm value. Furthermore, profitability does not mediate the effect of green finance and good corporate governance on firm value.
