Abstract

In general, the tool used to record a theft is Closed Circuit Television (CCTV). This tool works by displaying recordings of certain events via the monitor. There needs to be an event detection and display feature that can be viewed online. So the researchers developed "Design and Build a Thief Detection System Prototype by Utilizing ESP32-Cam Based Motion Detection using Telegram Bot Notifications." The research method used is the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE) model. The results of the design testing can work in accordance with the researcher's objectives and hypotheses. In the tool trial, there was a motion sensor test during the day and night, the results of which were that the sensor range was lower at night. Furthermore, testing the camera results 10 times since the tool was activated showed that the image results were not good in the first two trials but after that it produced good images. In the validation test with five validators, the results obtained an average score of 3.52 in the very feasible category. These results state that the prototype created is in accordance with the objectives and hypotheses formulated. Furthermore, the practicality test with 10 respondents obtained an average score of 3.88 in the very feasible category. The test results state that the development product is of interest to the public for use.
