Abstract
The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques use data presentation techniques, data analysis stages, and presentation of data analysis results. The data source used is writing on online news discourse on Instagram social media: Ponorogo Update. The data validation used is theoretical triangulation. The data analysis technique used is content analysis technique. The research procedures used in this research are preparation, data collection, data validation, data analysis, drawing conclusions, and, report preparation. From the results of the study that has been conducted on 25 data on Online news discourse on Instagram Social Media: Ponorogo Update. Several causal and temporal subordinating conjunctions were found. The results of this study can be concluded as follows: 1. Causal subordinating conjunctions were found in 16 data on online news discourse on Instagram social media: Ponorogo Update, researchers found two types of causal subordinating conjunctions, namely: 1) 11 causal subordinating conjunctions of cause, 2) 5 causal subordinating conjunctions of effect. 2. Temporal subordinating conjunctions found 9 data in online news discourse on Instagram social media, researchers found temporal subordinating conjunctions, namely: 1) 3 temporal subordinating conjunctions of simultaneous time limits, 2) 3 temporal subordinating conjunctions of sequential time limits, 3) 3 temporal subordinating conjunctions of final time limits.
