This study aims to determine how big the pedagogical and professional competency can be trained to students through the peer lesson method in Discrete Mathematics subject. Peer lesson method was applied to fifth semester students of department of Mathematics Education IKIP PGRI MADIUN that consist of 30 peoples and currently studying Discrete Mathematics subject. This research type is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is conducted in two cycles. Collecting data by observation sheet to determine the competency of teachers can be trained which includes pedagogical and professional competency. Results and discussion of 2 cycles CAR activity can be seen that in 1st cycle, pedagogical competency can be trained by 40 % and professional competency can be trained by 40 %. In 2nd cycle, pedagogical competency can be trained by 60 % and professional competency can be trained by 60 %. Based on the results of reflection is known that the percentage changing in pedagogical and professional competency are dependent by student familiarity and seriousness in lecture using peer lesson method on Discrete Mathematics subject. The conclusion of this research is peer lesson method can be used for training of pedagogical and professional competency to the student as a pre service teachers and need follow-up to the next cycle to correct deficiencies in 2nd cycle.
