Abstract
The Surai chameleon (Bronchocela jubata) is widely distributed in the Indonesian Archipelago and Peninsular Malaysia. Therefore, more in-depth anatomical and morphological studies are needed to distinguish various chameleon species. The purpose of this study is to determine the morphological, anatomical and behavioral characteristics of the Surai Chameleon (B. Jubata) as a monograph to support biodiversity courses. This research method is a Research and Development (RnD) research with the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluate). Sampling using the apparatus study method and observation. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews, observations, filling out validation sheets by material and media validators, and filling out practicality questionnaires by students. Surai chameleons (B. jubata) have a unique morphology that allows them to adapt to arboreal environments and dry conditions. Their ability to change color, independently moving eyes, as well as a large cockscomb on the head make them one of the most interesting chameleon species. The result of the study is that the Surai Chameleon (B. jubata) has anatomical features that are vertebrates. The anatomy of the Surai Chameleon (B. jubata) consists of the head, body and locomotor organs. The results of the anatomical study, the internal organs of the Surai Chameleon (B. jubata) consist of tongue, esophagus, lungs, stomach, heart, liver, intestines, ovaries, oviducts, testes, kidneys, cloaca. The behavior of the Surai Chameleon (B. jubata) provides insight into how animals survive, interact and adapt to their environment. This understanding is not only important for maintaining ecosystem balance, but also for harmonious relationships between humans and animals. The validity of the monograph from the material aspect from 2 validators received a score of 49 with valid criteria and can be used with minor revisions. The validity test from 2 media validators received a score of 65 with very valid criteria and can be used with minor revisions. Implementation of monographs as much as 40% stated very practical and 60% practical
