Keywords: Character Cultivation, Love of Culture, Karawitan Extracurricular The aim of this research is to describe, analyze and interpret (1) Explain the extracurricular activities of karawitan at SD Negeri Koripan, Bungkal District, Ponorogo Regency, (2) Explain the efforts to instill the character of love of culture through extracurricular activities of karawitan in students of SD Negeri Koripan, Bungkal District, Ponorogo Regency, (3) Explain the supporting factors and inhibiting factors for extracurricular musical activities in instilling the character of love of culture in students at SD Negeri Koripan, Bungkal District, Ponorogo Regency. The research method in this thesis uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques use observation techniques, interview techniques, field notes, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis goes through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of the data uses the data triangulation test. Based on research conducted, it shows that (1) extracurricular musical activities at Koripan Elementary School are carried out outside of learning hours with meetings twice a week. (2) Efforts to instill the character of love of culture through extracurricular karawitan activities are carried out by, among others: curiosity about local culture (karawitan), appreciation of local culture (karawitan), discipline in participating in activities, obligations of local citizens, and awareness in preserving culture . (3) The inhibiting and supporting factors for cultivating the character of love of culture through extracurricular musical activities at Koripan State Elementary School are divided into two factors, namely internal factors and external factors.
