Abstract
ABSTRAK Andreas. 2024. Design and Development of Pesu 1 State Elementary School Student Attendance Application Using Web-Based Qr Code, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisors (I) Saifulloh, S.Kom.,M.Kom. (II) Muh Nur Luthfi Azis,S.Kom.,M.Kom. The use of computer technology is said to be more effective and efficient because of its ease in accessing and retrieving information. This technological development also affects the way data is input to validate student attendance notifications. Such as the use of Quick Response Code (QR Code) technology. The presence of each student in a learning institution is one of the things that must be done because it has an important role, where attendance is one of the supports that can support or motivate every activity in it. This research aims to build a web-based attendance application using a QR Code so that the recapitulation of student attendance at the Pesu 1 State Elementary School becomes more effective and efficient. This is because the attendance system at Pesu 1 State Elementary School is still manual with students being called in turns to enter class and behind this there are still students leaving home with the aim of going to school but not entering school which is unknown to the students' parents and guardians. To overcome this problem, there is a need for a system in the form of an application that can make it easier for teachers to attend to students when they enter class and parents and guardians can also find out that their children have entered school with WhatsApp notifications. The development of this system uses the Waterfall Method and uses tools in the form of UML and in creating a system designed with the support of the MySQL database and the PHP programming language. With the results of developing this application using Qr Code technology for recording attendance using a cellphone as a scanning medium, teachers can easily use it. Apart from that, it also reduces the risk of data loss and the attendance process runs more optimally.
