Supervisor (I) Dr. Sulistya Eviningrum S.H., M.H (II) Bintang Ulya Kharisma S.H., M.Kn. Marriage registration is an administrative process carried out by authorized state officials to register marriages in the state register. Marriage registration can provide legal certainty and official recognition of a person's marital status. In Indonesia, marriage registration is mandatory for every citizen who wishes to carry out a marriage. This is also one of the administrative requirements regulated in Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning marriage. Because the legal recognition of a marriage depends on its registration, marriage registration plays an important role in every marriage. In normative juridical research, researchers do not only rely on existing legal theories or doctrines and collect data from primary sources. This allows researchers to get a more accurate picture of the implementation of the law and its impact on society. In this research, a juridical analysis of the registration of interfaith marriages is carried out from the perspective of the Marriage Law. This research will explore information regarding the registration of interfaith marriages in Indonesian laws and regulations. Apart from that, this research will also examine the legal consequences for couples who enter into interfaith marriages in Indonesia. Registration of interfaith marriages in Indonesia is regulated in Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage and marriages carried out in Indonesian jurisdiction must follow the established rules, where the only recognized route is through the same religion. This means that inter-religious marriages are not permitted and are considered invalid according to Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage.
