Abstract
This research aims to determine the suitability of Madiun Regency Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2020 concerning Protection of Sustainable Food Agricultural Land (LP2B) with higher policies and their impact on the welfare of farmers as land owners. This research includes normative juridical research that is both perspective and applied. The sources for this legal research are Madiun Regency Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2020 concerning Protection of Sustainable Food Agricultural Land (LP2B), higher laws, journal articles, government data and websites. The technique for collecting legal materials is carried out by conducting document studies or literature studies by collecting written information from various published sources such as laws, books, legal journals, as well as previous research related to Sustainable Food Agricultural Land Protection (LP2B). This legal analysis technique uses the syllogism method with interpretation. Based on this research, the results showed that Madiun Regency Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2020 concerning Protection of Sustainable Food Agricultural Land (LP2B) has good compatibility with higher policies but has an impact on the welfare of farmers because in its implementation there are still shortcomings regarding the individual rights of freedom of farmers as owners. land. This aims to provide criticism and suggestions to the government to pay more attention to the welfare of farmers.
