Abstract

The current door locking systems generally use conventional keys, making them inefficient for homes. Additionally, conventional keys are easily opened by burglars, which calls for a more practical and efficient lock. Certain rooms require security to restrict access rights. This project uses an RFID sensor for door opening via E-KTP scan and Telegram for notifications when the RFID sensor reads a registered E-KTP. The materials used in this tool include NodeMCU, RFID sensor, buzzer, OLED LCD, 2-channel relay, and solenoid. The test results showed that the RFID sensor could detect E-KTPs at a distance of 0 to 2 cm; if the distance exceeds 2 cm, the E-KTP is not detected by the RFID sensor. The NodeMCU ESP32 was tested 10 times with a registered E-KTP card, and when the card was placed close to the sensor, the "access granted" Telegram message was successfully sent 10 times without any reading failures. The NodeMCU ESP32 was also tested 10 times with an unregistered E-KTP card, and when the card was placed close to the sensor, the "access denied" Telegram message was successfully sent 10 times without any reading failures. The overall system testing, which included the NodeMCU ESP32 microcontroller, RFID, buzzer, OLED, and Telegram, showed that each component worked well. The Telegram successfully sent the "access granted" and "access denied" messages, the buzzer sounded as expected, and the OLED LCD was able to display messages indicating that access was granted and the door was opened.
